A Day in the Life

I did something a little different (for the Sequin Cat) yesterday and thought I'd give you lambs a little snapshot into my life. There's no timestamp on these photos but they are in chronological order.

Here we go, a typical (holi)day chez Sequin Cat HQ!

Sleep-in a little and start the day off by finishing the novel next to my bed. Here, A Moveable Feast.

Decide that it's P-P-P-P-P-Pancake day! Green tea every day (love the packaging). Also, kimono! Grotty oven!

Make a bit too much smoke and have to air the house out a bit.

Catch up on long overdue blog reading.

I couldn't fit all of them in my belly. I tried though.

Business time. Sit myself down for a solid 15 minutes of marking.

Distraction! Hanging the washing out. Great drying day.

Take the opportunity to check out my little pot plants. First chilli!

Ride my bike over to my parents' house for lunch with....

Mother dearest and....

Cat Cat (not her real name).

Drop in to the library to return and select more delicious reading material.

Ride home.

It's such a gorgeous day. Look at these autumn leaves!

Inspecting my library scores!

Back to marking. Groan.

Pop in to the markets to pick up some things for dinner.

Yet more marking.

Prep work for tonight's dinner...

... yellow curry! Pumpkin and green beans. Yum!

Break time with Vogue.

Band rehearsal.

After-rehearsal beverage at the pub. Had a most disappointing mojito.

Home for a bit more marking before bed!

Finish the day as I started it: in bed, book in hand. This time it's Sputnik Sweetheart (a reread of Murakami).

Thanks for sharing my day with me!

  3. This was a great post! Don't laugh, but it kind of reminded me of one of those "cotton is the fabric of my life" commercials in which fun, artsy, and well-dressed girls go about their everyday business. Also, I was relieved to see that I'm not the only one with a grotty oven!

    1. Had to do a quick google - cute! Yep, you are definitely not alone with having a bit of mess around the kitchen - we're in a rundown rental so not too worried about everything being perfect. Takes the pressure off!
