Lost in Laos

Sa bai dee friends! I know it's been a while between posts but I haven't been on the internet since I left Australia. It's been a crazy trip so far and we've only just settled in a place (for an extra night, yippee!)

We....
  • arrived in Bangkok late Wednesday night
  • spent Thursday touring the city in sweltering heat
  • caught an overnight bus on Thursday night
  • arrived in Chiang Rai Friday morning, bussed to Chiang Khong, crossed the border into Laos at Huay Xai and hopped onto a boat
  • cruised down the Mekong on Friday and Saturday, sleeping overnight at Pak Beng
  • survived our boat breaking down on Saturday night and running out of natural light and somehow managed to make it to Luang Prabang
  • have just enjoyed a relaxing Sunday exploring Luang Prabang

PHEW! Photos etc upon my return... maybe!

    I visited a friend in Laos a year ago (also in Luang-Prabang). Hope you'll enjoy the trip as much as I did! :)
