Daily Outfit: Professional Practice

Here's my interpretation of "work wear", necessitated by a full day of lectures and then a professional networking event in the evening.

I really, really liked wearing this.

Hiatus?

There've been hints, rumours, whispers in the wings.....

I'm moving to the country, y'all!

To summarise: I'm spending five weeks in the Riverland to perform my first teaching placement. I don't envisage coming home over that period, and am unsure of the internet situation so I'm a little hesitant over what to do with this blog.

Should internet access not be a problem, and if my laptop behaves then you can expect to see Sequin Cat still up and running, perhaps with more sporadic posting though. If the pressure of full-time work is getting to me and I can't get the technology to happen then this blog may get a little dusty over the next few weeks. Your patience and support is much appreciated.

Now, back to those lingering outfit shots...

Daily Outfit: Rainy Day

Cool, rainy day at Uni Tuesday.

Daily Outfit: Deep Purple

Any guesses on what I wore to Monday night's Deep Purple concert?

Oh yes. Happy face.

Purple and leather, baby!

Daily Outfit: Sunday scones

Last Sunday I rode over to my grandma's house for some freshly baked scones. Yum yum!

Daily Outfit: Caturday night

When Saturday night swung around, I headed over to my girlfriend's house for some cocktails, youtube and classy conversation. We eventually rolled into the city but I very sensibly rolled on home shortly thereafter.

That I managed to get these shots is a miracle.

Wednesday Wrap-up

Dudes! Dudettes! What a seriously great (stressful) week. I feel like I haven't had a night in in forever. Not so sage when you have three major assignments due over the space of two days and a teaching placement to prepare for! Which involves moving to the country (and eating a lot of peaches, hopefully... something tells me it may be oranges instead.)

On to the fun!

  • Wednesday night? Band buddies and ridiculous stories at the coffee shop after. Lemon gelati heaven.
  • Thursday night? Date night! French cabaret to the rescue
  • Saturday night? Date night with the ladies! Silly Sequin Cat takes herself home early and gets a good night's sleep. Very clever cat.
  • Sunday night? Date night! Sleepy dinner and lots of conversation.
  • Monday night? Not a date! Well, it could be considered a daddy-daughter date I guess. We rocked n' rolled our way to Deep Purple at the Entertainment Centre.
  • Tuesday night? Date night! A reward for ploughing through my assignments. Cosy tearoom on a rainy night.
  • and tonight? Don't be fooled, I didn't go on a date. Not even close. I signed up for a professional networking event and worked my teacher talking mojo.

Sunday night Thai. Have I mentioned lately that I love dining out?

Good old classic rock. Deep Purple perform at the Entertainment Centre.

Oh, there's been daytime fun too: spontaneous Saturday picnic, dressing up for my French presentation, bike-riding, lunches in the sunshine, homemade scones at my Grandma's house, talk about travel.

My aunt and uncle left for Canada on Tuesday morning!

Otherwise: neglecting blogging, stressing out, apple dreams, early morning thunder and rain, fun text messages, bumping into friends, reading myself to sleep, feeling excited about future prospects, cranking assignments, laughing at my cat. I feel I should acknowledge that I've been quite stressed out this week, due to assignments, time running out and the need to get things organised in a hurry. This blog may be going on a little hiatus very soon... I'll let you know what's going on.

Here's last week if you missed the bus.

Light and landscapes

Last weekend was really great. Case in point: impromptu picnic in fading light. Perfect.

Daily Outfit: Black and red

Oh look at that happy face!

I promise I was excited. A quick snap before a mashup Friday night date in the city.

Daily Outfit: A la française

More dressing up. Friday morning was my French group presentation. We donned berets for class!
