After watching some music in Elder Hall a little while ago, my friend and I took advantage of daylight savings to do a little photoshoot with this installation out the front of the gallery. The exhibition itself was curious...

The importance of hair(cuts)

I grew my hair over December and January to keep me warm during a chilly European winter.

Now that I've been back two weeks, it is high time for a new chop!

I took these pictures last time I had my hair cut - look how much happier I am?!

It feels weird posting on here after a year of tumbleweeds. 23 posts in 2014. Not so flash, hey?

That's not to say I didn't do anything of note last year.

• Trips interstate, Thailand, Turkey, Singapore, France and Luxembourg
• Moved into a house by myself
• Navigated a year teaching French and physics at a brand new school

Just hanging in Turkey in July. Wow! What an adventure!

• Dated (and am still with!) a lovely man
• Adopted a cat (not officially...)
• Read 26 books for my Goodreads challenge

I am hoping 2015 will be even more mega! January is surely the month for planning and goal-setting...

New job means dressing professional again! No more swanning around the world with a backpack, handwashing my delicates and borrowing clothes.

Daily Outfit: An Aussie Summer

Pre spontaneous jaunt to Thailand, the Viking visited for a few weeks and we did all the tourist things. It was the best!

Melbourne "summer" in Federation Square.

I loved the helicopter flight over the "12" Apostles - the whole touring of Great Ocean Road was magnificent! We also saw the Boxing Day test in Melbourne, stayed at the Grand Hyatt on Collins st, went to Moonlight Cinema, Botanic Gardens, Chinatown... being a tourist in your own town/country is rewarding!

Daily Outfit: Put a bird on it

When in doubt what to wear when dressing up (regardless of the occasion!), putting a sparkly bird in my hair always seems to cheer me up.
