A pretty full on day (as one could imagine). Luckily I had some sushi and The Big Sleep to keep me company during the break.

Daily Outfit: Training course
Full day course on responding to abuse and neglect? Yes I will wear stripy socks.

The Unusualist
My uncle Raymond Crowe, who goes by the stage name of "The Unusualist" has been popping up all over the place lately!
Yesterday he was on page 3 of The Advertiser, and I spotted a little segment on him in the March issue of Girlfriend magazine.
If you haven't yet seen his beautiful hand shadow act, then watch the video below and be amazed!

Strand Arcade
I came across an advertisement for the Strand Arcade in a magazine a week ago (Harper's, I think?!) and really appreciated the feel of the photograph. Unfortunately I'm still struggling with connecting the scanner to the computer so I apologise for my average magazine photography.

To atone for my very mediocre photo-taking, here are the official shots from the site:

Tim Walker inspired, perhaps?

Just lovely!

Daily Outfit: Missing Monday
I've been in a really odd mood lately. I blame Rock of Love II as I've been cranking short skirts and low-cut tops (AKA not my usual thing. At all.)

The day turned out to be way too cold for this kind of thing (even with the cardigan!) so I may have hopped into bed...

Daily Outfit: A rather busy Sunday
WAKE UP! It's time to go.
I had the speediest breakfast, shower and dressing and then was promptly buckled in for a trip down to see my grandma. I didn't stop for lunch and headed instead to the vintage fair in North Adelaide to visit some lovely ladies.
The wonderful Ruby Chew and Andi B. Goode. Hooray for unexpected Adelaide blogger meet-up! I love these ladies and their vintage stylings.
Later I rode as fast as I could to my friend's house as she was hosting a Sunday Session for her 21st birthday. Cue much cider, pizza and ridiculous French conversation. It was another late night!

Wednesday Wrap-up
Hooray! It's Wednesday again! Why am I so happy about this? Well I've had a pretty great week all around, I'd say.
Here's where I was at last week.
Since then? Cranking assignments (or at least intending to), riding my bike (through the sun, through the rain, at morning and at night), going on dates (looking at flowers, drinking wine, watching Alice in Wonderland - finally, eating curry, watching QI, eating pancakes), business meetings (where I'm the only one there...), daytime sleeping (the seasons have changed), brunch at the weekend, my cousin's engagement party (!!!), a busy Sunday visiting all around town (my ill grandma, Ruby Chew at a vintage fair, afternoon tea party cider in St Peters and finishing up in Prospect), texting my sister (she gives good advice and is maybe a cat), finishing up Rock of Love II (finally!), anticipation about the future, lovely lunches with lovely ladies and a full day of professional development (phew!)
Et vous?
I'm quite pleased as I've (finally) had a productive day and worked the bolts out of a couple of (painful, painful) assignments. Yay!

Missing dog
Please don't think I'm terrible for posting this but I saw it in the city on Monday and actually LOL'd.

In other news, how can I explain this absence of posting? I've been (attempting to) crank the assignments but really have been spending a lot of time offline and just enjoying life. It feels good.

Daily Outfit: Party on a Saturday night
All outfit posts and no content make Sequin a dull cat!
Oh well.

Not the best photos but I was too busy having fun at my cousin's engagement party to worry about photography. Highlight: my four aunts dancing up a storm in my grandpa's shed to Pulp and The Clash.

Daily Outfit: Yum cha
Saturday mornings are the perfect time to get into some yum cha in Chinatown. I rode my bike (of course!)
I've been dressing less conservatively than I normally do this week; I think I'm being influenced by all the Rock of Love II I'm watching... oh dear. I'll be putting it away soon.

Hope you all enjoyed the weird weather!

Daily Outfit: Thursday date
Spent the morning on my bike running errands, visiting the library and op-shopping.
After some homework I headed into the city for a wine and cheese date in the Botanic Gardens.
