Uninspired outfit. I just wanted to get dressed and get cracking on my assignments (where is this motivation coming from?!)



I dislike as much as you do bloggers who apologise for their absence, stating that they've been busy... I haven't been on the computer much lately though and we're over our monthly download limit so until our connection speeds up again I don't envisage doing a whole lot of posting/commenting.

I can tell you're all pretty devastated because you hang on my every word. But we'll make it through, together.

For my next trick, I'll be power napping and then glamming up for my cousin's engagement party! What fun. Hope you all have great weekends ahead of you.

Daily Outfit: Showers

Adelaide gets such little rain that when it does bucket down, I never know what to wear.

The sun came up and dried out all the rain. Itsy Bitsy Spider was pretty happy.

Wednesday Wrap-up

How can it be Wednesday already? I suppose I did spend a good four days over in Perth for Easter. And then we had the last two days of term. Since I've returned I've been in self-imposed exile in order to get the assignments cranking but really I just watch back-to-back episodes of Rock of Love II (so, so bad) and read Jules Verne.

Easter Wardrobe Challenge!

Hey hey it's here! The Easter Weekend Wardrobe Challenge that I've been blathering on about to all my friends. Apologies to anybody I came across in lectures and out and abouts on Thursday... I wanted to work through my ideas through conversation!

What does it say? "It's a bit of a discordant, schizophrenic wardrobe" "Maybe I could wear hats?" "long white socks?" "Key themes -pastels -metallics -full shapes" "How to draw these strands together?"

So I started thinking about what to wear during the Easter weekend in Perth while I was in lectures on Thursday. I came home for half an hour after uni and started "packing" by throwing items matching my brainstorm into a basket.

Practical travelling clothes...

Unfortunately, Thursday night was a veryyyy late one and Friday morning I woke up with thirty minutes to shower, get dressed and pack. On a normal day this'd be somewhat achievable but on this hungover morning I was seriously struggling.

The challenge was not off to a good start.

What was so hard about this "challenge"? The goal was to dress "Easter" all long weekend. For me, that meant pastels, metallic foils and bulbous egg shapes. A very different look to my usual travelling wardrobe of black, red and stripes. I was exploring new territory of different colours, shapes and novelty approaches to accessorising.

I made it to Perth, however (after an incident-filled flight...) and nice weather held out all weekend. You can be the judge of how well my outfits fit the brief!

So what's the general consensus? Did I succeed in my mission to "dress Easter" every day of the long weekend? Did you appreciate the furry bunny tail? I'm not sure the people of Perth did...

Daily Outfit: Moroccan night

Birthday dinner (not mine) on Thursday eve of Good Friday. I tried to work with the restaurant theme!



Unfortunately I wasn't called up to show off my belly dancing skills. I did show off my backless top though. Fun night!

Daily Outfit: Last day of term

I'm baaaaack after a most refreshing Easter break in Perth. It was fabulous! I did nothing but eat and drink. I hope yours were equally relaxing.

Anyway, here's a leftover outfit shot from last week, on my last day of school University.

This one ended a little too short when I hopped on my bike. Who'd've thought?! I hope the good people of Adelaide enjoyed seeing my lunch (too far?)

Daily Outfit: "Pimp" shirt

Maybe it's because Lady Gaga is coming to town, but I've been wearing inappropriately short skirts this week. My classmate thought that my shirt was "pimp" but really it's there to make up for scarcity of my skirt. Don't showcha your chocha indeed.



I thought the dotty tights provided a bit of modesty... I was wrong. Sorry to anybody walking behind me up the stairs.

Daily Outfit: Mooching Monday

Mondays are my study days at home, where I cover all the readings for the week, prepare for my tutorials and get a head start on all my assignments.

This Monday I didn't feel like doing any of that. Instead I ate my lunch in the sunshine, played with my cat, started a new book (20, 000 leagues under the sea) and took a nap. Quite productive, as you can tell.

Do you wear shoes at home?
