Moving on

Yesterday my boyfriend moved into a cosy place in the city. To celebrate, on Tuesday night we gorged ourselves at a Chinese restaurant then headed back to his family home for cocktails and dancing with the dog.

What a happy camper.

Check out the amazing kitschness I found!

And with that, I pack a bag for the ride over to toast the new house in the city!

Le visa

I've been working myself into a sweat today organising my visa application. I'm moving to France in a month (pending application approval) ! There is something terrifying about sending away your passport in the post.

Kings of Leon concert tonight; off to drink vodka, get dressed and catch the bus

When I come home...

When I come home from work I usually find my bed neatly made and a little post-it note from my boyfriend on the pillow.

The other day I found this.......

That's my teddybear just hanging out in some pyjamas and matching bear slippers.

Glass Percussion Project, v 2.0

Saturday night we returned to the scene of the crime: Adelaide Festival Centre.

There were lots of people taking photographs of the hour-long performance.

Three percussionists scraped and hammered and struck a multitude of blue glassworks to make music.

I dressed appropriately:
BLUE!

And then we saw some cats. Urban cats, great!

Art show

Last Thursday night I rode my bike in a very short skirt (and consequently flashed all of town) to a swanky hotel in the CBD where my friend was hosting his own art show. As a painter, his style is usually photorealist but he has been developing his own look over the years.

The aforementioned miniskirt. Posing with the artist and his painting of me (present in three of his shows so far, and yet still nobody has bought me...) Outfit: generally secondhand.

In reality we are not art connoisseurs but simply wished to support our friend (and raid the free wine!)

Daily outfit: cool evening

Today it FINALLY RAINED! To celebrate I walked home with the boyfriend in the cool (Autumn!) air.

Later, I had band practice to attend, and didn't want to be cold.

Yes, I am wearing a bowtie and a ridiculous face.

Daily outfit: Monday dinner

Monday night dinner with the girls in Chinatown.

Oh, I'm a happy camper. No really, I am!

Daily outfit: new dress!

Trying out new photo locations - can you tell where I'm hiding?
A sunny Thursday called for a debuting of this new dress, which was marked down to a ridiculous $20. Although not my usual style (halterneck, keyhole, print) I quite like it and it sure put me in a good mood riding along in the sunshine with my skirt fluttering in the breeze.

Lagerfeld

My (female) neighbour looks like the Kaiser.

Gifts from the boyfriend's mother

The boyfriend's mother is an avid shopper and is often coming home with goodies for her two children, and increasingly for me too! What's rejected by her daughter usually finds its way to me, something that I'm not complaining about.

Coral bridesmaid's dress? Yes please!

Rejected by its intended owner. I snaffled it up with glee and wore it to a Valentine's dance. Excuse the cheeky squirrel face of intoxication.

I was thoroughly spoiled by the boyfriend's family for Christmas and received my own stocking of treats as well as this beautiful vintage number:

It was taken out for a spin in its spiritual home, the airport.

So thank you K for all the wonderful additions to my wardrobe, most recently a polka dot bow belt!
