Hello, photo from a month ago! Last day of term. Can you tell from general sleepiness and cold clothing?

Daily Outfit: Likes vs Dislikes
Like: My new (to me) lace skirt, blackwhitepink, potplant in the window, wearing stripes, trying on a bit more jewellery, these shoes, hot pink stockings.
Dislike: Tearing said stockings in arriving at school by failing to leap over a puddle in a pencil skirt and twisting my ankle, going to the health care centre before class.

Black Cat
A 1961 casting call for a black cat to star in movie "The Black Cat", part of Tales of Terror.

Daily Outfit: Think pink
As much as I'm not one for trends, I am enjoying injecting bright colour into my workwear. Lots of people love this bright pink dress!

Daily Outfit: Oz/Wonderland.
Doing my cartoon character thing again like here.
Haven't worn these shoes for years (at least it feels like it)!

K K Katie!
Do you read What Katie Wore? I think you should.
What are your must-reads? I love adding new blogs to my reader (then never finding time to read them...)
Daily Outfit: Welcoming spring!
It's still a bit cold out but I'm hoping my colourful skirt will encourage the sun to linger a little longer.

Daily Outfit: What Alice did
Although I've never worn this particular combo before, I feel like this is most like my signature look: white, black, red and blue with a phwoofy skirt.

An absence of sorts
Oh folks, I've done it to you again!
It's not that I don't want to blog.... I desperately want luxurious hours spent on google reader, palming through my blogroll. I want to share with you all the colour and fun I've been having lately. But, yknow, I've been busy. Turns out being a citizen of the world takes time, and between my community (musical!) service, cooking and seeing all my friends that I've neglected during term time, the result is a neglected blog.
To add to the list of lame excuses - my computer is struggling to pick up wifi so I find myself only on the internet when I am physically attached to it via a cable. Not so glamorous.
I made Szechuan eggplant last week! I was rather pleased. A spring vegetable quiche too - asparagus is so delicious at the moment. Perhaps I'll buy a muffin tray and try some choc banana treats.
Otherwise?
How are you though?

Otherwise?
- Still reading my eyes off,
- trying to solve the storage puzzle of having toomanyshoes (and dresses, and handbags, and, well, everything),
- seeing long lost friends,
- running,
- and thinking about all the fun things I'll do at the end of the year (overseas travel!)
How are you though?

Daily Outfit: Blue Sunday
One of those lovely Sundays - snooze in, dumplings with a long-lost friend, tea outside in the afternoon and then rehearsal with a new ensemble.

Daily Outfit: The Ruff
Work then play. I love the ruffles on this navy shirt but it is quite voluminous.

Daily Outfit: Kimono
We now live near the Central Markets. This means we can pick up groceries in a hurry and Chinatown is only a short dinner stroll away. However a few pickles have popped up lately: is it totally inappropriate for manfriend to wear a tae kwon do tshirt to an Asian restaurant (oops!)? Should I change out of my kimono to go to dinner?
Oh, the troubles of modern life....

Daily Outfit: Mixed patterns
I really love red, white and blue all together.
The kids like to let me know when my outfits give them a headache. Today was one of those days!

Science Week
I may have missed the official Science Week (oops!) but it feels like every week is science week over here. During my school holidays I've been reading New Scientist magazine over breakfast, devouring John Wyndham's Trouble with Lichen and seeing if Paul Hewitt can give me any insights as to how I can present the next topic to my physics classes.
Daily Outfit: In the new Kitchen
Progress made in the new kitchen! Very exciting.
Look slightly more masculine than this one, and slightly less than this one.

Emerald City
I know I'm a bit behind the blogging bandwagon on this one (Hello?! Summer colours have been and gone in the Northern Hemisphere) but this image of Diane von Furstenberg's Autumn 2011 show has been bouncing around my brain for the last few days.....
It seems others are picking up on the green theme as of late:
Another great Mulberry campaign.
Superstar musical Wicked, which I was lucky enough to go see in May.

Daily Outfit: After the move
I haven't been taking photos on the weekends lately as we've been busy busy busy moving house. I did manage to find some clothes amongst the many boxes a few weekends back to enjoy "The Arrival", an orchestration of Shaun Tan's book at local theatre Her Majesty's.
Thoroughly enjoyed the performance (arranged by amazing percussionist Ben Walsh) and followed it up with tasty Chinese. Yes!
1. It's still cold at night! Boo.
2. New place! Unpacked kitchen.

Daily Outfit: Sense and Sensibility
After the frivolity of birthday times, I toned it down a bit at school the next day.
PS. Pants still = sleepy.
